Deals of the week
Welcome to you, who love nature and history of Sicily, who have heard of this beautiful and troubled land, so rich of memories and legend. Welcome to those of you wishing a deeper contact with our planet and thus want to visit Etna that represents the direct link and superficial reflex of the inner dynamics of the Earth.
This mountain is important to us geologists because represent one of the main research sites in the world. Etna volcano has been studied by Greek and Latin authors alike, and has been quoted in many ancient and medieval myths. Aitna for the Greeks, a nymph and wife of the god of fire “Hephaestus”, since time immemorial gives to us humans magnificent messages of natural power with its great eruptions of lava fountains and devastating lava flows. Djebel for the Saracens, hence Mongibello for Sicilian people, is the mountain par excellence.
The love of nature and history, the longing of unforgettable emotions, the need to answer our inner questions on natural and beautiful phenomena, has transformed us from silent observers into scholars of this place.
These are the emotion we want to share with you!
